In the “Methods of Work” section a subcriber gives a tip for making a carbide scraper suitable for drawer corners (my application). BUT when I go to the site he mentions (Carbide Depot) they only seem to list the insert he uses in qty’s of 10, cost being $171 ! Anyone know of an alternative source?

I can't find the article but are they carbide inserts like user in machining?

Or inserts for spiral cutter heads?

That's all I can imagine without the artical.

Thanks for response. Article is on page 16
I like a small Red Devil hand scraper with double steel blades. They are easy to sharpen and are much keener than carbide.
Lee Valley carries carbide blades as replacements.
