Hello everybody. I was wondering if anybody out there could advise me where I can get hold of the rise/ fall/ tilt hardware for a captain’s chair. Also, in the past, I have tried in vain to find the sliding motion for a library ladder. Any leads gratefully received. Thanks Tom.

I think these folks sell ladders, and this web page explains (in their view) why you can't buy hardware without the ladder. http://www.mainething.com/chase&ekholm/
Near the bottom of the page is a mention of a Fine Homebuilding article where someone made his own, along with links to library ladder manufacturers.
