does anyone out there have any info on how to calculate for compound angles on a radial armsaw to cut crown moldings on the flat position in order to produce 90 degree mitres. any quick tips? also what about walls that are out of square?

I highly recommend that you get a copy of Crown Molding & Trim at http://www.compoundmiter.com or your local woodworking store. It has solutions for problems, like catherdral ceiling transitions, that bugged me for years. The softcover book is an excellent value.
