Today’s NY Times magazine section talks first about “fill it to the rim …with Brim” Remember that old decaf brand that they dropped? Well they spent a lot of bucks to get that brand name going, so it’s coming back as a whole line of coffee.
What grabbed me was the stuff about Stanley. One guy swore that he saw an old Stanley ladder-wrong, Stanley never made ladders and still dosen’t cause they are made by Werner under licence, in fact they say Stanley has been closing plants and subbing out their stuff since the 1980’s. It would be interesting to know just what they still make.
The other point that they bring out is that the consumer brand memory and perceptions of it are really screwed up so that we buy with bad info that I think makes the mass market ripe to be taken by clever ads and marketing snow jobs .
Just thought some might like to take a look. Paddy

Bruce,
He he. I must be a complete idiot as I never hear what them politicos say in the first place. I listened once and it sounded something like, "Toot, blah, honk, me". Then I lost interest as there was a cat in the garden making much more interesting sounds at another cat. A rough translation might have been, "I am going to shred you down to your bollocks and then eat them"!
Come to think of it, that cat would have made a great "Defence" Secretary.
Lataxe, who makes enough toots and honks of his own to bother with those from politicians, who only know two notes and lack rhythmic coherence, as you the drummer will know.
Ah yes, We here in the USA have a particular politician that does sound like a Siamese cat in heat.Work Safe, Count to 10 when your done for the day !!
