I’m making a new cartridge box (~18″x12″x5″). It will be fairly heavily used and heavily loaded. I need good hinges, latches, and a decent handle for it. In the past, I have bought Lee Valley, Brasso, and Rockler hardware, but I’m looking for other choices, if there are any, or quality hardware that is fairly small and strong for it’s size. Where else might one shop?

Brent,
Are you looking for nice brass hardware or tough industrial hardeware. For the former Lee Valley has a the best selection I've ever seen. For the later I buy from TCH fairly regularly. I use this hardware to build cases for tools and hardware I use for work. Tough stuff, never had any fail.

You might try White Chapple they have a lot of nice hardware.

Horton is another good source, especially for "period" hardware. They have both brass and iron.

Thanks!!!
Those are exactly the kind of suggestions I was hoping for. That was a lot of help.
