I obtained a used Bosch SCMS.
The saw does not cut square–yet.
I loosened the screws that hold the fence in place to adjust the saw for square.
I spent too much time attempting to square the fence to the blade.
Couldn’t do it for the life of me.
It is off square by “a few hairs” and out of square enough I am sure that it will make a difference.
Any advice.
Thanks

A friend bought a sued Bosch and had the same problem. We took the fence off and found that the previous owner must have had a kickout and bent the fence slightly. (We found a mark near the middle of the fence that looked like an impact) We tweaked the fence itself to be sure it was perfectly straight, re-installed it and it adjusted easily and the saw cut square.

Because there is always more to learn!
Place a straight-edge across the fence. Some Bosch fence castings' right and left sides are not flush with one another. I saw one that was off by more than 1° on both sides.
Bosch service center will replace a defective fence casting without hassle.

You may be able to file the mounting holes in the fence a little larger for more adjustment.
Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
Thanks I'll check both suggestions.
