The last instruction on the Blum package is “Clip hinge arm onto mounting plate.”
Does anyone out there know a trick for clipping that arm onto the plate? I’m having a bit of difficulty with that, to say the least.

Look closely at the back of the part of the arm that fits the mounting plate, it has a pin on the front edge. That fits into the groove on the front edge of the plate. Put that in first then snap the back into place.
I realize that is what I am supposed to do, however it is not engaging the front pin mush less the rear pin. Thanks though, Jim
Sorry Jim, Just never know where the other person is in a process.
Are the hinge arms extended out (parallel to the door)? You won't be able to snap them on if they are in the closed position. Otherwise maybe the plate is mounted too far back. That's the limit of my experience.

Bill:I think it was P. T. Barnum who said there's a sucker born every day, well I hate to admit it but but I covered one of those days. I had the plate backwards. Sorry to have taken your time but thanks for trying to help me. Jim
Jim, I'm glad you figured it out.
Not wasting my time, I'm not doing a lot because it's hotter than the hammerin' heart of h-ll here.
Ol Dusty had er' figured out. Holding up under the heat Dusty? Every year for a week or two we lie around panting like dying dogs and talk about getting some air conditioning. Been a pretty popular subject last week or so.

Hi Bill ,
Yup , over 100° here in the Rogue valley , very dry conditions and windy . What part of the state are you in ? I would just take a wild guess and say the Northern part of the state ?
Fall is good , warm days and cool mornings good fishing , I've heard .

Corvallis - two seasons - long, gloom wet & short, dry ;=)
Another thing that can make it difficult to clip the hinge to the plate is the position of the side-to-side adjustment screw. If it's fully closed (i.e. maximum travel towards the carcass) it can be really difficult to hook the pins into the slots. A couple of opening turns usually allows the hinge to easily clip to the plate.
I've been "centering" all my hinge adjustments before I install the doors, then do my final "tweaking".
James ,
When I get a new to me piece of hardware usually it is expected be unknown but relative , it can take a phone call on occasion so don't feel bad , it's a good way to learn .
I have some Mepla soft close hinge attachments that I can't seem to get to cooperate ,,,, yet .

Been there Jim.
Next time look for the arrows on the plates.
It is possible the mounting brackets or plates are wrong for the hinges you have or they are backwards .
You should be able to put one together in your hand without the door , lift the little clip at the rear of the hinge arm maybe then snap it in .
good luck dusty
