I have 2 large old black walnut trees in my yard which I want to cut down. It seems like a waste to just burn the wood. Is there some way to either sell or give the wood to someone who could use it for a woodworking project? I live near Philadelphia. Thanks for your help. George

What a guy! Contact any cabinet shop, and they'll jump at the chance. (May/should even offer you some $$$)

Jeff my granddad had four cut down by a funiture manufacture in N.C. (near Murphy I think). He got around $24oofor each one! Check around it may be worth your time. Rick W
yard trees are not sought after because of the likelyhood of them containing metal - here's a link to Woodmizer, who might direct you to an owner in your area -- depending on the trees, they might have an interest - http://www.woodmizer.com/domino/html/woodmizer/woodmizer.nsf
