I just purchased a used Rockwell 37-600 jointer. Not knowing for sure what I was buying I know understand I need the knife lock bars and screws. Are there any sources to purchase these older parts? Do any newer parts fit?

You might want to check over on owwm.org for the gib strip.
The screws should be easy, just keep in mind that they might be left-handed threads. I'd go to a hardware store and get a variety of screws to test, then when you know what the thread is buy the more expensive set screw in the correct size.
I'm not altogether sure but this company seems legit.
Further - It's reasonable to assume that the manufacturer would employ the same lock bar and screws in their 37 series jointers to reduce retooling costs.
As with anything...check first.
I hope this helps.
