Looking for advice about bending 1/4 inch cherry plywood. I’m making the sleigh bed in Jeff Miller’s book which call for laminating 2 sheets of 1/4 plywood around a bending form. My local supplier has conventional plywood and MDF core plywood in 1/4″.
Is there one which is preferable to another? Any issues with glue selection?
Open to any input.
Thanks

Hi,
I'd go with the veneer core ply over the mdf core. But heck try and bend each and see how flexible they are.
I'd go with a urea formaldyehyde glue. It will give you more open working time and no creep in the plies over time. It is temperature sensitive so get your shop and wood up to 70 degrees. Good luck.
