I remember seeing a bench mounted plate joiner that had a foot operated switch that controlled both clamp and plunger years ago. I can’t recall the manufacturer. Has anyone seen one of these and/or knows where I can get one?

That was a Delta plate jointer and long since discontinued but something similar can be cobbled up with some off the shelf stuff from a hardware store and a little creative thought.
