Back in Oct there were a few posts on bandsaw mobility. I wasn’t satisfied with any mobile bases on the market. The one’s I’ve seen on the market, such as the HTC, are usually to low to the ground to move over say a door threshold, without bottoming out.And due to the smaller wheels they don’t ride very smoothly over cracks , wood chips, sawdust, etc., so I made my own. Pictures posted for your observation. This was a little work but Wow, you couldn’t buy one this solid and smooth. This is mounted on my most recent purchase, a 20″ three HP Jet Bandsaw. And the colors even match. I used 2 1/2″x 2 1/2″ x 3/16″ thick angle iron mounted to the base for extra rigidity . I cut the pieces that the wheels are mounted to from 3″ x 6″ x 3/8″ thick angle iron.

Very good, those casters looks like the ones I've been using on several movable carts for my tools lately. I am a firm believer in the bigger (4") caster wheels -vs- the small ones that come with most mobile devices. Since all my work areas are limited mobility is a must for me on everything.

all my shop equiment is on moble bases, that is everything ecept the bandsaw!
Too top heavy!
So I have a hand truck or two wheeler. I slide it under the band saw, move it out to use it and them return it to storage when finished.. it takes but seconds and is very easy, safe, and stable.
Plus I can use the two wheeler for dozens of other tasks.
