My venerable Delta 14″ band needs new tires. I see bunches of urethane tires (mostly orange) from a number of sellers, some Carter blue urethane that are much more expensive, and some less expensive rubber tires, that for sure need to be glued.
Does anyone have preferences among the tires, or suppliers? Are the more expensive tires worth it?

Steve, for a "venerable" Delta saw, I'd certainly turn first to Iturra Designs for advice. He knows his Delta's!
I had a set of the orange ones. They had a seam that caused a bad wobble. The salesman said to sand or grind it off, I didn't want a band saw tire "kit".
Got the Carter's and they perform perfectly. The Carter tires have a crown, the orange ones are flat.
My advice, save the aggravation of the orange tires and get Carter's. If you get the others, check them before installation for the lump at the seam.
Steve,
I have an old Delta 14" and tried the Carter tires, but they weren't wide enough. Make sure you measure before you order.
Get it a gym membership and some multi-vitamins!
