Band Saw Table and Kreg Fence?
I just bought a used bandsaw, Delta 14″. Many posters recommend the Kreg Band Saw fence. My question is, if I want to add a larger band saw table can you still use the Kreg fence? Also, any suggestions as to the best available plans for a band saw table?
Thanks

You could add a wider table and still use the Kreg fence, but you couldn't make it too much deeper (front to back) before the fence would become too short to be practical. However, even in that case I believe you can get a longer version of the same aluminum extrusion from Kreg, so that would be an easy retrofit.

I wouldn't let the Kreg fence stand in your way of building whatever sized table you want to have. Although a nicely made commercial bandsaw fence would be a treat, it's hard to see where it's actually necessary for good work on this tool. There are many, many plans out there for tables and fences, adjustable even, and lots of other jigs too.
If you still want to use a Kreg fence but need more infeed and outfeed support, you could consider John White's method, illustrated in this article (are you a paid subscriber on-line??).
I jusp purchase a Kreg Bandsaw fence for my 16" grizzly. It fit perfectly.
Cedar,
if I want to add a larger band saw table can you still use the Kreg fence?
Can you tell us a bit more as to its purpose; and perhaps give us some dimensions? Is this to be something you will fashion out of wood? Another larger metal table?
