Antique cabinet with glass sliding doors
Hello! We have an old cabinet that has glass doors (framed with wood) that won’t glide easily. Is there anything I can put on the track that will help with that? Someone suggest soap, WD-40…any other suggestions from the pros?
Thanks!

Try rubbing paraffin wax on and in the track(s).
Thanks, Howie - we'll try that tomorrow!
Better than wax or parifin !! Try slick strips, they are a stick on HDPE that are about as slick as, you know what. And don't have to be replaced or attended to for a very long time. I use them to fix wood drawer glides that are well worn and will be using them as drawer "beds" for a pie safe I'm building. Not going to be using modern glides at all.

Something Else
I've used a product called slide-ez or some spelling variation on that. Might be made by behlen. It seems to develop a good slick barrier. But candle wax would probably work too.

I believe candle wax is a good alternative, can't really suggest more than has already been said
