I am making a small cedar box. The only finishes I have ever seen on cedar are those high-gloss clear finishes. What’s a good alternative that’s more subtle but shows off thew wood? Also I acquired a quantity of Australian cypress, and am looking for suggestion on good finish for it. It has a bright yellow color with alternating rays of red. Thanks for input.
