Hey, Ijig
Do you have a stop when you move past a 45 Deg miter either way?
If so there should be some way to adjust it past that stop to get 60 Deg.
What kind of saw do you have and do you have a Manual for it?

dead easy..
clamp a board you know to be absolutely square to the fence, use that as the fence to guide the stock being cut, dial the saw to 30 degrees.....and cut......

Ijig, neither of the earlier sugestions will work. The only way I've found to do it is to cut a 12" long squared-up 4 x 4 at 45* and clamp it to the fence of the MS. Then use the surface of the 45* cut as your new fence, and dial in 15* on the MS towards the new fence. Cut the board on edge. Needless to say, THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROCEDURE, because the board being cut is not well supported and wants to rotate into the sawblade. If you're going to do this a lot, I suppose you you could make the "45* fence" longer/wider, or come up with a jig system to hold the work. The one time I did it on fairly large stock, I only had to make 4 cuts and the wood was 13/16" x 5", about 60" long. On smaller stuff, it's not near as scary.
I'm trying to figure why you say cutting the board at 30deg., while the board is perpendicular to the fence will not work. I have done this many, many times and each time it worked out perfectly. The complimentary angle to 60deg. is 30deg.(drafting squares come in either 45-45-90, or 30-60-90)
Maybe you were saying that for safety reasons?
Thanks All. I worked it out by making an adjustable jig. It figures !!!!!!
as have I... which is why I suggested it.....
as for safety, I've yet to see a board misbehave when properly clamped.....
maybe I'm missing something....??Mike Wallace

Dave, I didn't immediately understand from your post that the board you were cutting was PERPENDICULAR to the fence. With that now understood it seems we're both doing the same thing, only at different angles for the auxiliary fence.
I posted this about 4 years ago on the old site in regards to the same question. It still might be helpful.View Image
The simple answer is that some saws come with that capacity. I have a 12" Bosch SCMS for instance, which will cut 60 degrees to the right. The other alternative is rotate the stock and hold it in place with something else while you cut. Never been too fond of that one.
