I'll be surprised if you find some. 1/8" blades are failry high ppi so there is room in the back of the blade below the gullets. 1/16" blades would have to be incredibly high ppi I would think. Not to mention little strength.
What is it you are trying to do that needs 1/16" blades?
Mike
lennox probably makes them, they have that $60,000 welder I mentioned earlier
I'm just sayin'
Sears advertises it, so if you can find someone to weld it, you are there.
Keith,
No need to weld 1/16" blades, just tie a square knot...

Try http://www.bcsaw.com They are a custom shop in Toronto and will make any length you want. As for width, not sure so try them.
Thanks for all your comments. I think the consensus is right. I tried several vendors including BC, Lennox, Olson, Timberwolf, and SuperCut. The rep at SuperCut told me that they previously had offered 1/16", but could no longer buy the stock from the steel companies. Another company told me they had previously carried the 1/16 width, but there was very little demand. I finally settled for some blades in the 1/8" width.
I had gotten interested in using the 1/16 width after viewing a DVD by Duginske, "Mastering Your Bandsaw". In the DVD Duginske sings the praises of the 1/16" width for its ability to might very tight turns and smooth cuts. He said that this blade left a surface that required very little sanding. It sounded perfect for making bandsaw boxes. I noticed that the publication date on the DVD is 2003. I'm guessing that this might have been the time when the width had been introduced.
What was the length you were looking for?

looking for 111" to 113"
A number of years ago I bought a 1/16th inch blade from Highland Hardware but they don't list them now. However I don't think the blade is really 1/16th inch, it's more likely 1/16th inch plus the teeth. It is smaller than a 1/8th inch blade and it does cut well.
Maybe Duginske would know where to get them now.

fyi. I got this message from Frank Pozsgai today:These Bandsaw Blades were discontinued about three years ago, the smallest is the 3/32 which is between 1/16 & 1/8 they are under the All Pro Bandsaw Blades. Chwck our web site @ http://www.pozsgaidesigns.com
bandsaw blades that thin are too dangerous to be used on bandsaws. The blade will snap and act like a serpent and snap you in the face while the machine is running. You will have to wear face an eye protcetion to avoid the bite of the snake. There are allot of people trying unproven and dangerous methods I would not reckomend. The real way of using a blade that thin is the scroll saw. Please be careful
Have you ever used a bandsaw? Have you ever seen a bandsaw?

I would talk to them, they know the business. Paddy
Timberwolf only goes to 1/8". I think everyone has discontinued the 1/16"
Bob, there might be a message in that? All the best, Paddy
agree.
Low demand. We did'nt sell very many 1/8" but 3/16 was very popular. Never got a call for 1/16 but I would'nt mind having a couple. If anybody finds some please post a source.
