This looks like a very interesting project, one that I would like to try. Would you be willing to share more information like the dimensions of the bench, the spacing of the lines on the rails to guide the wrapping of the cord. Also, the type and size of the cord and where it is available??
I am part way through this project, having finished the woodwork and about to start on the cord. Without plans I have had to guess the dimensions from the pictures. It helps to make a mock up of one of the legs, which you can refine until you are happy. The seat width depth is about the size of a dining chair, which looks quite big, so I would probably lose an inch next time.
The cord is called Danish Cord, a paper product around 3mm thick. Here in the UK I could only find it in large spools (enough for 5 stools) for ÂŁ80, which is a big outlay. I will have to make more stools.
Wish me luck with the weaving!
