I purchased the SketchUp plan from the Taunton Store, and have been building this piece, carefully following both the plan and these videos.
I ran into an inconsistency with the double-tenons on the middle and lower blades. The blades are flush to the leg in the rear, and the front faces are offset by 1/8" or so. At 5:50 on the "Blades" video, Tim explains that we want to keep the mortises roughly centered in the leg, which requires offsetting the double-tenons on the blades. The implied rationale is that it's better to have a narrow shoulder than a thin mortise wall.
Unfortunately the plan shows the exact opposite - the tenons are centered in the blade, and the mortises are offset on the leg.
Predictably, I discovered this the hard way. Instead of making another pair of legs, I'll try to make it work, intentionally cutting the tenons wrong. So if it doesn't work, I'll be re-making both blades and legs.
