The Dust Bee Gone nuisance dust mask attempts to dethrone those disposable masks that so many of us reach for when the air gets unhealthy. It looks and fits just like a surgeon’s mask, with straps that adjust easily and are fastened behind the head and neck. A thin wire closes the nose area tightly to prevent eyeglasses from fogging up. The layered fabric is soft and comfortable, rated to particles as small as 3 microns. To clean the mask, simply wash it in warm, soapy water, rinse, and dry it by twirling it around your head like a lasso. The $34.95 price tag might seem steep, but with proper care it will work much better and last longer than several boxes of disposable masks.

Great dust mask, but...the strap arrangement needs rethinking. The upper elasticated strap is difficult to adjust, and the lower one is too long and has VERY scratchy velcro, larger that the cloth strap itself and so it always catches on your neck. The cloth straps are wearing out quite fast. Used professionally, this will only last a few months, which is a shame, because it's otherwise really good. Very easy to breath through. Is it worth the cost? Well, not really, but I don't think there's much else that's any better.

I've used many different types of "surgical" masks, both professionally as a pathologist and as as an avid woodworker. Unless you need something better than 3 micron protection, this is the most comfortable, easily adjustable, and convenient mask I've ever used. The fact that its washable and reusable offsets its relatively high cost.
