I’ve seen lots of gizmos come and go, so I was a bit dubious when I took home the Saw-Jaw, a device that wraps around a tablesaw blade and stabilizes it while you loosen or tighten the arbor nut. To my pleasant surprise, this product is a true innovation. It’s easy to clamp the Saw-Jaw around the blade (disconnect the power first). When you begin to loosen or tighten the nut, the handle lodges against the table. The handle adjusts to allow the Saw-Jaw to lock onto blades that have been resharpened, and the hole in the middle is large enough to allow you to remove or slip on a blade stabilizer. If you buy two or more, it also can serve as safe storage for your favorite blades.
