DeWalt - Circular Saw DW369

DeWalt’s model No. DW369 is very similar to the DW368, except the depth-of-cut lever is mounted outside the handle.

This saw is similar in design and features to the DW368. However, the depth-of-cut lever is mounted outside the handle for easier access (on the DW368, it pivots between the handle and blade housing). The sturdy baseplate offers clear lines of sight from either side of the blade. DeWalt says the base can handle drops off one story-but we didn’t test this claim. The DW369 has an electric brake and weighs 9.8 lb.

Great lines of sight and excellent bevel adjustment are what made me choose this saw. The depth adjustment lever placement and light weight were also very persuasive. It has a nice feel and is comfortable to use especially for bigger and\or gloved hands. The bevel adjustment is the best I have used on any saw, with stops at 22.5 and 45. (I actually used a small drill bit and bored my own stops at 4 and 12, and 6 and 12 angles for cutting gable wall studs) The guidelines on the front are not as easy to use accurately as the Makita or Milwaukee and the baseplate could come closer to the blade to make cuts near the end of a board easier. Overall however, a great saw for a good price. Oh, and It actually can withstand a one-story drop. (on to a plywood floor anyway)
