Salvaged beams for a table
My wife and I have spent the past four years renovating an old one-room schoolhouse in France. The time has finally arrived for me to start filling it with furniture. Our house in Australia is full to the brim so this is like a painter with a blank canvas!
During the renovation we had to demolish an old lean-to shed that served as a sheltered play area then as a stable. Most of the timber was very rotten but I salvaged enough to make a new dining table for the main schoolroom.
