This table was made for an auction to benifit Bold Nebraska. They are trying to bring awareness in regards to an oil pipeline that is planned through our state and frighteningly close to the Ogallala auqifer. The walnut veneer for top came from a chunk of off fall left after fabricating a kitchen bar top. I was delighted by the results of resawing and appling this veneer. It seems to jump up off of the table in a manner that fooled many into believing that table top was not flat. I love it when a piece demands second or even more looks to get a feel for.
