End tables in use.
I designed and built these 2 Arts & Crafts end tables out of Ash and Walnut. This is my 1st project that I have sold = trying to create a side business for myself.
I have seen other Arts & Crafts end tables and designed some individual characteristics for this project = a bottom and middle shelf, a pull-out flat drawer, contrasting Walnut wood on the top.
The legs are actually 4 pieces of 3/4″ stock glued up using rabbets. Most joinery is tongue and groove with the use of wood screws to hold down shelves. The finish is boiled linseed oil with several coats of polyurethane.
While this is my 1st project that I’m selling and 1st that I’ve done as “Hughes Wood Designs” – it definitely won’t be my last. Thanks for checking this project out and more soon to come.
End table top. Ash wood with Walnut to contrast the color. I've done other projects using these 2 woods. They contrast very well.
