some claro walnut tables
one of my guys drove these two claro walnut tables and 8 of our ladderback chairs to the eastern end of long island last thursday and friday. they are part of a series of slab top dining and coffee tables we have made over the last 3 or 4 years. the slabs are all from goodhope hardwoods in pennsylvania and we fabricate the metal and wood bases in our shop. the ladderback chairs go well with the slab tables and the whole idea is sort of minimalist in concept. surprisingly, the two tables and their bases, the 8 chairs and the tools all fit in my town and country without even blocking the rear view mirror. we could have fit another 6 chairs in, at least.
