Re: Tablesaw Safety Goes Under the Microscope--Again

No one sees that Gass has bit of a conflict of interest here ?

Looking at the cases (all 3 are viewable online), the safety equipment was removed and safe -sawing methods were ignored.
Who is to say that a future individual loses a digit if they tamper with the SawStop?

Re: No More Tipping Trim Router

Awesome.
I love my colt, this gives me some added versatility.

Re: IWF Alert: Porter-Cable jig makes pocket screws faster and easier

This article is like a Porter-Cable sales brochure, with no direct comparison to a leading product. Have you actually used it? If not, this review is pointless.
"Company reps said that if you attach a hose, the thing is almost dust free." Duh, try it and find out!
company Reps- one of the biggest inherent problems of the tool industry.
Why do we need membership to view marketing data? Yeah, we know how to visit the Dewalt website.
Lets keep articles within the useful realm of an actual "review", and better the craft.

Re: More Details on the Carlos Osorio Tablesaw Lawsuit

Some of you kids are WAAAY off. Comparison to the Toyota recall is completely off-base. THE GUY REMOVED THE SAFETY FEATURE. With proper use, which is clearly spelled out in the manual (in English AND in Spanish by the way) the proper way to make a cut, and repeated warnings about removing the blade guard.

Most accidents are a result of stupidity, which is the only thing we cannot litigate out of our society.

to Maschner: your comparison is sad. Come on, really? Did Toyota owners remove the anti-lock braking feature, THEN have an accident? No. You are a a pestilence on common sense, just like this idiot, who relinquishes all personal responsibilities for his own actions. Your comments are a perfect example of the denouement of our society.
