Box with corner post dovetails and wooden hinges
Feb 25, 20133 comments
Hello everybody. Just wanted to share my box. My uncle is an architect and one year when I was a young boy he made us all wooden boxes for Christmas. I thought that was so neat, I still have it on...

Re: Box with corner post dovetails and wooden hinges
Thank you both very much. I did a lot of research on dovetail and box joint jigs. I had a lot of boxes and hinges to make in a short period of time. When I came across the Incra videos on YouTube I was sold. It wasn't cheap though. I got the LS Positioner, router table, router, router lift, stand, and the hinge crafter for about $1,300. I love it. It gets used on every project, not only for joinery but also for rabbets, dados, edge forming, etc. The instructions are excellent. Believe me, if i can do it you can do it. Guys that make handmade dovetails may frown upon it but dang it's sweet!
