Well done! A wise choice to miter the face frame to to sides. It does give the piece a strong presence.

Another beauty Chuck! Love the color contrast between the dye and fabric. Working on any case pieces these days? I've been absent from my shop for a while and your furniture always inspires me to get my butt back in there.

Thanks for the offer Chuck. Unfortunetly not only do I own a Mac, but I feel my woodworking skills aren't sharp enough to take on chair making. I think I'll live vicariosly through your chairs.

thanks deerfielder. The finish is water based dye followed by tung oil followed with shellac, gel stain (leaving the build up in the corners and moulding transitions), followed with more shellac.

Thank you Chuck for showing so much of your work. I too am thrilled by the shaker style and try to stay true to those elements in my work. Your work has served as inspiration to me and has caused me to be more diligent in spending time in the shop. I thank you for that. I hope you keep posting to the gallery as you complete new pieces.
