Love my Delta Unisaw that I bought 10 years ago but the foot print is so big in my small shop along with my Delta shaper,8" jointer and Powermatic 20" planer that I'd love to replace them all with a Laguna 5 in One combination machine. Did I also mention a new American Beauty Robust wood lathe is on my wish list. Just keep dreaming in this economy, lucky to be able to afford my every increasing ridiculous property taxes in this NY welfare state.

This message is for Garrett Hack,truly one of the nicest and most talented individuals I have ever met. Garrett, having known you for many years I'm very envious of your Vermont life style and your dedication to working with hand tools and the simpler approach to woodworking. How do you avoid the temptations and costs associated with needing to have the latest and greatest new tool or gadget that is suppose to make woodworking faster,easier,and more self gratifying.

Not sure who to give the credit to for the actual turning,but job well done! There's not too many turners I know that have undertaken the task you just accomplished. I always pressure wash burls 1st and try to avoid leaving the pith which will most likely crack the bowl if you'd like to keep it around for awhile. Nice detail on the bottom, even an old turner like me just learned something.

The Laguna 5 In One Combination Machine sure would go a long way to free shop space and make room for that new Powermatic Model 57121 3 HP Variable Speed Wood Lathe.
