Thanks for the comments, after the bent laminations, the thru tenons in the arms was difficult, keeping a tight fit, applying the finish with a brush on the spindles was a challenge.

jollypond, my bench is 30 1/2 x 73 1/2 the 30 1/2 includes a 7 1/2 tool tray.

For the bench hold downs, I would try and use my drill press and a couple of unspecting relatives to help move the top around. adding vises to the laminated top should be pretty straight forward, need 3 1/2" thick at point where added (depending on vise used) could add a spacer block if needed, one on the front, one on the end, some of the heavier vises have a pop up dog in the vise jaw, add a few round dog hole while your are on the drill press and you will be good to go.
Re: Work Bench
Thanks for the comment, the tail vise uses a standard 1" vise screw with standard wooded runners ang guides, I have about 1/8" of lift under load.

A really nice piece of work, sure your friends were really suprised. my only suggestion, consider making your own drawer pull from a contrasting wood, will give the piece a really finished look and a great deal of satisfaction to you.

Thanks for the comments, it is always rewarding to receive postive comments from other woodworkers regarding your work, too often we have people visit our homes or shops who do not realy understand what went into a completed project.Again thanks

Nice workmanship, like jonhgoes, I would have trouble stashing this in my bedroom.
