Wrinkled Madrone Burl
This is a little hollow form I turned to finished thickness while wet, then I let it do whatever moving it wanted to do as it dried. It's about 4 1/4" wide by 3 3/4" tall, and it's a very tactile...
Figured Walnut and Ebony Hollow Form
Walnut crotch wood hollow form with an ebony finial. It's about 9" wide and 7" tall.
Natural Edge Box Elder Burl Bowl
This bowl was made from a piece of box elder burl sent to me by a friend in Utah. (Thanks, Curt.) It's about 9" wide and 5" tall.

Thanks guys. I appreciate your comments. Asthewoodturns, the spikes are the natural outside surface of the burl. They're very sharp, and they definitely caught my attention as they were spinning. I also made a spike-topped hollow form from a core that I removed from this bowl. It was another knuckle-biter if my attention strayed.
