Re: SawStop inventor Steve Gass defends the latest tablesaw verdicts

By the way, for those of you who are wondering why I thought it was balanced and fair, it was because the author was upfront about his own bias and didn't try to hide it from the reader. So, the reader could put his remarks in the proper context. There was no deception here.

Excellent article. Great piece of balanced reporting on an important topic.

Nice job FWW

Re: Blade brake inventor aims to compete with SawStop

APO makes the right point...it doesn't require you to touch it to activate it. So, it isn't 1/8 of a second after contact with your skin; it is 1/8 of a second after sensing the presence of your hand.

I think both ideas are great. Let me ask all of you brave folks out there..."if your 14 year old daughter were taking a woodworking class at high school (if you could find one any more) would you want the table saw to have one of these technologies? Or would you want to rely on her brain?"

Re: A Call for Bloggers!

I'm new to the Southeast Cleveland area and am looking for a source for hardwoods. Is there a place I can post such a question and get suggestions from local woodworkers?
