Re: UPDATE: Book Giveaway: Esherick, Maloof, Nakashima: Homes of the Master Wood Artisans by Tina Skinner

I've been doing a lot of research on Maloof recently. The more I look at photos of his chairs the more I appreciate the work. The continuity and flow of the chairs boggles my mind. There certainly is a "soul" in these chairs. They are amazing. I would love to read this book and learn more about his house.

Re: UPDATE: Book Giveaway: Craftsman Furniture Projects from the editors of Woodworker's Journal

I too have a wife that loves the Craftsman style. Would love to have this book to learn more. Then maybe I can make her happy with some nice Craftsman furniture.

Re: UPDATED: Giveaway and Poll: The Most Requested Woodworking Gifts of 2009

Any plane would be nice to receive. Working space is limited and I hope to learn to use hand tools more in the coming year. Obviously, LN or Veritas would be great, but any decent plane would get me started. Also need a sharpening system and the ability to use it.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Re: UPDATED: What Tools Are on Your Holiday Wish List?

Any woodworking tools would be appreciated, but:
1. block plane
2. jack plane
3. Krenov books
4. Veritas dovetail saw
5. better sharpening skills!
