I work in construction as a carpenter, but when I am not banging in nails, I like to make 1/4 scale furniture. I have limited space, so small is good. I have made full size pieces but it kind of takes over the house. I hope to take up a city & guilds furniture course soon, which may lead to a change of career.

Re: small Oak Welsh Dresser

I use sum machinery. tablesaw, bandsaw and a small planer but most of the work I do by hand, it is much safer with material components being so small. I use a lot of double side tape to hold materials as I work. small moulding I produce with home made scratch stocks. The metal work I make from scrap.Hinges were made from cut down Mapp gas bottles, and some old panel pins.
