I have the same 'pick up sticks' problem - made worse by the messy gene. This is a great piece of kit & an inspiration for me to keep working out a design for my own "in-reach" tools.
Good timing - I need to turn a few small items for my next project. So the turning & fininshing books would be useful!

Wm Morris, Krenov, Toshi Odate-sensei, Pye, Moxon - we feel the urge not only to work and make but to share the feelings and satisfaction that making give us. I look forward to exploring this aspect of the creative urge in the new book.
Is that table from the white oak plank that we heard about a few years ago? It would be great to profile it again and see how the users' finish is developing. It's always an insipration to hear from of one of the living masters of woodwork.
Of course, when you cut a groove across your workbench like this, it should really be called a dado...
