Hobbyist hybrid woodworker trying to up his hand tool skills. Currently working on a chest of drawers for my new born daughter. I hope she'll have it ready by the time she's one. Wish me luck. (She's now two and it's still not done...sigh)

Sounds like a winner.

Re: Shop Talk Live 41: Ask a Rocket Scientist

I think VESPID meant Nick Olbermann.

Oh, and I completely agree about not having fun. My favorite podcasts are the ones when the host aren't having any fun.

Re: Randall O'Donnell discusses his craft

Way cool post. I'm not into period furniture but I love me some hand tools. Please post more inspirational stuff like this. Way to go Randy.

Re: UPDATE: The Unplugged Woodshop: Handcrafted Projects for the Home & Workshop by Tom Fidgen

Re: What you missed at FWW Live 2013

Did you guys record any video? If so, do you plan on releasing a highlight reel?

Thanks for the update - it sounded like a great event.

Re: Shop Talk Live 17: Behind-the-Scenes at Lee Valley Tools

Since there's been a lot of comments about the video, I'd like to put in my vote for audio. I love to listen to it while I exercise and the feed in iTunes along with my iPhone makes this pretty easy.

To each his own.

If you keep putting this out, I'll keep listening. Keep up the good work.

Here's my thoughts on a new title: Playne Tracks (pronounced Playin' Tracks). I'm a big believer in puns.

Re: Shop Talk Live 17: Behind-the-Scenes at Lee Valley Tools

That's definitely the most controversial sound on the woodworking interwebs: Sawstop being activated.

I'll try to think of another name for the segment.

Re: UPDATE: Making a Welsh Stick Chair with Hugh Roberts

Re: We're Giving Away Grooving Planes!

Groove is in the heart...wood.

Re: My hobby workshop or how much can you squeeze into a 20'x22' space.

Great shop tour. Any regrets with the Rikon bandsaw? I was thinking of the same one with an emphasis on resawing (same philosophy as you). Are you able to get a 1" blade in it? If not, does it really matter in your opinion? Thanks.
