Hi,
I have been woodworking since I was 15 yrs old. 30 yrs.
I just started a new shop. I am in the process of building it now. It's in the basement for now, until I have the dough to rehab the 6 car garage.
I had a 1 man cabinet shop when I was married and specialized in built-ins. Got divorced, lost my shop. :(
I plan to build furniture in my new digs. I have a seller lined up...a close friend who owns a successful used furniture store.
I have about $7000 into it (shop) now. My budget is dwindling.
. JUST BOUGHT A RIKON 10-325.
I enjoy forums and hope to make some friends.
See ya around.

Re: UPDATE:French Polishing: Finishing and restoring using traditional techniques by Derek Jones
I am very curious as to how to apply it, and why it is so desirable.

Re: Asian and Greene and Greene inspired hall table
I also adore all the "soft corners" very nice job rounding/relaxing the edges

I love the finish...
posted: 7:54 pm on February 18thI use Arm-R-Seal also, but I put it over Watco Danish Oil, then finally I wax with Goddards...
But, I tend to get streaks of dullness.
I am interested in your finishing technique???
Can you explain your process to me, it looks astonishing!
Re: UPDATE: Rough Cut - Woodworking with Tommy Mac by Tommy MacDonald and Laurie Donnelly
Tommy mac is my favorite guy to watch-woodworking on TV.
posted: 9:08 pm on November 25thYou have the Work-Shop from the Heavens, Tommy!
I try to not miss your show and have watched it many times in my shop.
Tommy explains everything he is doing so it is not hard at all to follow along...I take notes on his tips all the time, VERY "save-able" TV material, ha.
Love Rough-Cut WoodWorking with Tommy Mac!
I would love to win and read your book, and if I don't win...Christmas is near, so...
