Nice piece! Do you have a picture of it closed? Just finished a cabinet for my planes. Doesn't quite come up to your standards. I used felt for lining the bottoms. Was able to pick some up that had adhesive backing at a craft store.
Made the same mistake myself as far as what view you used. I was not able to view through entrepreneur eyes and never will be able to. I do admire those that are able to use good business judgment but remain true to the quality they aspire to. The only plus I got out of the experience was a decent detached shop and some nice additional tools. Doesn't quite overcome the feeling of failure but education does have it's price.
