While the sawstop may stop you from cutting your fingers, but if the sawstop encourages you to get close to the saw blade there are many other ways to hurt yourself on the tablesaw. Some more dangerous than a cut finger. It's better to plan your cuts safely and use long push sticks and other devices to hold the piece properly along the fence.
