That is nice work, I like the way you recycle antique parts to make new pieces, good use of the available space to. When you say collapsible system does that mean knock down like a traditional armoire or adjustable shelves.

Simple construction, nice design, and easily available wood and you have ended up with 2 lovely pieces of furniture. I wish we could get oak like that in our DIY sheds all we can get in the english ones is poor quality softwood!

Thats very nice work we dont really use the term mission furniture in england so not sure of the difference between that and arts and crafts or is it a cross over thing? The hardware is well suited to the piece is it custom made or off the shelf

Thanks,Simon the extra photos give a better sense of how good the carving is, the folds in the jacket are really well carved. I have done a bit of chain and ball/ball in a cage for fun but this is quality carving

Thats a realy nice box. How did you hinge the lid or is it lift off, what are the dimensions, how did you cut the lid edging and are the dovetails hand cut.Sorry for asking so many questions but I like making boxes and experimenting and this box poses many questions to me so I would be grateful for any information you can give
