Don't let the snarky comments throw you. They're just jealous... I work in a 12 X 16 basement shop, in a semi detached house and the only way I can get anything big in or out is through a 4 x 4 trap door in my front hall floor with an electric winch in the ceiling. I can still say congratulations, how inspiring and beautiful.

If some or all of the major parts you need are going to be so expensive, have a look into privately owned machine shops in your area and have either new parts made or the old ones revived. They can be alot of help with sourcing bearings too. Don't forget, they enjoy a good challenge and a change of pace as much as the rest of us.
