Re: Adrian Potter: Thinking Furniture
Thank you for your excellent article, Jon … you noticed that Adrian Potter said he was inspired by our old friend, James Krenov.

Re: Behold, the Speed Tenon
The end of the workpiece is against the fence, and it would not take much to have it come away at an angle. That could propel the wood at the operator. Way too dangerous because of the many 'passes' that have to be done to complete even a single tenon. Hands are necessarily too close to the blade when holding the workpiece down, and it's end into the fence.

Re: Make it Stick: A Guide to Glue Ups
If i'm glueing a table top, I use glue on one edge only. And whenever possible, I 'slide the mating pieces together. That gets both sides.

Re: How Not to Drive Your Wife Crazy: Mockup Before Milling
The time spent learning to use Google SketchUp efficiently is worth it to me. I like to draw the complete model when beginning a new project. This helps with size and proportion, but it does more than that. It helps me to plan the milling and joinery as well as glue-up procedure.

Thank you for honoring this great woodworker. I have enjoyed the various interviews made available here. He expresses his appreciation for handling the wood and his tools. I think his students were fortunate indeed.

Yes! I'd make one for the kid's corner at the public library. Very imaginative. Sharing the plans would be helpful.

Re: Modern Stacking Bookshelves
This system has great artistic appeal. Lot's of work involved, but so it is with good woodworking.
