i'm 75 so i've discovered John too late too attempt to emulate him but this is the style i'd love to have found 20 yrs ago . does John have a book of his work or a catalogue . i'd love to just look at them .

one question , if these idiots have their way what happens to the millions of saws and saw owners which exist now . do we have to dump our saws or operate illegally or can i knick my finger and sue for millions ?

i' ve stopped drooling long enough to write this . unfortunately few of us have 800 sq. ft to spare . i work in the front of a two car garage in a space approx. 120 sq. ft. in which i have a saw table , drop saw , router table , drill stand and bench . i would love to see an article aimed at my situation .

can such a spirit survive in a materialistic , competitive, free enterprise society .perhaps we need to change society . the present approach isn't doing too well .

great idea but i can't grasp how the leaves fold back w'out taking up a large space over the bench. perhaps more detail wd help.

this video made me laugh. my current w'shop is the the front of a 2 car garage not occupied by cars . of course the cars can be moved but all eq'ment has to fit in this space. to have the whole space wd be the ultimate luxury. maybe you shd do an article on really small w'shops. i am 74 and despite the restrictions i have produced the following items over the last few yrs :drop leaf table; lift-top occasional table; nest of tables; hall table; 6ft buffet; two level auto-tray( tea trolley) with drawer. i have also converted an old piano to a desk and computer centre.

i was very interested in custom made as an idea . however when i e-mailed them asking did they operate in australia and did they have or want an agent in australia,i did not get any response.

very nice work and congrats. but what concerns me more is the comment that the wood was going to be burnt. while woodies are paying a fortune for wood others are burning it. iknow its a dream but can't the two be co-ordinated in some way.perhaps web site where wood availability could be posted.
