Simple Taper Jig
This jig is designed to work with the Veritas bench clamps but other bench clamps with a 3/4" spigot would probably work. Basically it is a piece of 3/4" plywood with a bunch of 3/4" holes drilled in...

Yea, but I had them anyway and use them all the time for other jigs, the drill press table and general bench clamping. Wouldn't be without them.

I noticed that the shaft tended to lean over when the clamp screw was tightened up, probably due to the ply being only 3/4" thick. I added the packer between the jig and the clamp to provide more support.

If you wanted to make repetitive cuts, you could screw a couple of scrap pieces right on to the jig to locate a side and one end.
