I have been a hobbyist woodworker for more than 30 years with a focus on custom furniture. A few years ago I launched into building guitars and have been been honing those skills almost exclusively since then. Re: Treasure Boxes

Great! You actually get two projects in one when you build these boxes since the inlay is actually a project in itself. These are fun to make and are always received with great enthusiasm. I hope you'll make a few and then post the pics. I'd love to see them.

Re: Cherry Tool Cabinet

Now you got me! I ran out of cherry when it came time to do the rollup door and the drawer fronts so I found some stock I had in my shop for a couple of years. I made the mistake of not recording the species when I purchased it. All I know is that it is in the mahogany family. It machines very nicely -- but has somewhat of a "soapy" feel when freshly cut and coated my blade teeth with a fine oily residue. To my surprise, it sanded down nicely and looks terrific with a about 5 coats of tung oil varnish. As I thought about it, the natural lubrication in this wood made it perfect for the tambour door since it's destined to a lifetime of sliding in a groove.

Re: Update: DVD Giveaway: Working with Plywood by Hendrik Varju

Count me in, too! Feel free to let me win this dvd. Thanks.

Re: Dreadnought guitar

Thank you! It sounds terrific. As a matter of fact, I sold the next guitar I made to someone who heard this one and wanted one like it. Since I wanted to keep this one, I made another and the customer was delighted with it.

Re: 7 drawer roller chest in black with black walnut accent

Very nice! Impressive finish!

Re: Bow Arm Outdoor Lounge Chair
