Re: Fine Woodworking On the Road: Come out and see us

Sorry about the double post, must have done a double punch?

Re: Fine Woodworking On the Road: Come out and see us

I would love to attend an event, however it does not look like you will have anything closer than a day's drive from where I live, that means motel and gas @ this price? Sorry not going to happen. I know you can only be at so many places but it is always the same, several places in the NE, SE, MW, and sometimes the WC, that leaves most of us between without. I am talking Rocky MT states. I am not complaining I love your mag and website, the info is very good and I thank you. Maybe someday you will plan on us in-between? Until then, I will continue with the internet. Good luck at the shows, thanks, jr

Re: Tommy MacDonald and WGBH pursue a new woodworking show

Hey Tommy, ok I am sorry for the rude comment I made, it was uncalled for and I should have not said that. Now let's move on, I said I would give you a try and I mean a fair try, so I ask for your forgiveness and now let's make sawdust! Thank you in advance for your kindness. I will say your furniture/projects look very good. :)

Re: Tommy MacDonald and WGBH pursue a new woodworking show

I don't know if any one else has watched his podcasts or not but he is a joke. He doesn't know the dif. between a table saw throatplate his hand, or talking about parring a dovetail with a chisel and calls it a this and that? Common he doesn't come close to Norm,David or any of the other great woodworkers we have all grown to love and learn from. I am willing to give him a chance on a show but he is a greenhorn still cutting his baby teeth. Sorry but that is my honest opinion.

Re: Lie-Nielsen Toolworks and Woodcraft part ways

This is a thing that will not affect any of us in the "inland empire" in Eastern OR, Eastern WA, N ID, or W MT. We cannot shop # these stores anyway. We are isolated from the mainstream here, if we want these quality tools we have to rely on the internet. SE-la-vi. jr

Re: UPDATED: What Tools Are on Your Holiday Wish List?

My number one wish-my shop finished. I have to wire, insulate, sheet the inside walls, then layout all the tools I don't have. ha,ha. Then well I would start with an edger, and router table insert-lift, and who knows, I would be happy with a pencile.
