Bedroom set
Mahogany bedroom set. Raised panels in headboard and footboard. This was my first attempt with HVLP and I love it!
Cherry step stools
Cherry step stools with walnut dowels. The recent article in Fine Woodworking about step stools inspired me.
Hall Table
Cherry hall table. The legs are one of my first lathe turnings. It's stained to match the woodwork in the house.
Adirondack chairs
Adirondack chairs made from Ipe' with stainless steel fasteners. This is the hardest and heaviest wood I've ever worked with. Finish is Penofin.
Walnut bedroom set
Walnut bedroom set, raised panel construction, mortise and tenon joints, curved laminated night stand drawer front, finished with 6 coats of Tung oil. How nice it is to sleep in a bed I made...
Sideboard
Oak sideboard with wine rack. There are two slide outs behind each door, all drawers are maple with routered dovetail construction, plywood carcus, raised panel doors, cushioned close drawers...
Chess table
Chess table made with walnut, maple, and oak. Finish is five coats of polyurethane. The legs are my first attempt at wood turning.

Impressive! Walnut is my favorite wood, it machines good and takes a good finish.

Re: What's your favorite hand or power tool?
I have many fine hand and power tools, but ever since I got a Powermatic 3520B lathe, it has been my favorite. My other tools support the lathe turning now! It's addictive.

Absolutely gorgeous! Your wood selections blend together for a very nice look. You must have the 'feel' for turning that I'm still trying to find! I've done some segmented turnings and know what you mean by a 6 month project. My turnings are around the 200 piece mark, so you inspire me to attempt more challenging projects. Nice job!

Nice job! I've done a few stave turnings and find that staves are a little difficult to cut and fit, but the visual effect is worth it.

Beautiful piece. What kind of glue did you use on the Ipe?

WOW...very impressive. I especially like the visual effect of the walnut-maple in the table halves. The chess pieces intrigue me, and the inlays look great. I did a chess table a few months ago, and seeing your table makes me want to do another one. I love playing chess too. Nice work Dennis.
