This is the 1st time I have built a spec cabinet. I did it because I had the time and all the material except the hinging. ($35.00) and this Vision. I have a vague plan to use it as a marketing tool, and there are a couple of shows here in St. Louis that I can enter it in. The black textured/carved boxes are the only boxes I've offered for sale. They go for $160-$250. I don't spend much time on the inside, usually just enough to get a small storage space that allows me to call it a box. Most of those boxes on the site were made because I can't stop myself..lol most are given as gifts, but I have a sizable collection around the house.

Re: Candle holder makes a quick but elegant gift
posted: 10:32 pm on January 2ndThat is a beautiful design Stephen. I made some last year and rubbed on a couple of coats of a poly/linseed/thinner mix and it wasn't enough to block colored candles from staining the woods. I liked the finish so I stated drilling for tea candles.
